Mathematical Models
- Mathematical modeling for analysis of multi-species fishery (poster)
The mathematical models of fishery are presented. These models take into account of multi-species character of yield. In this case the results of analysis of fishery are very differ from the situation one-species yield. The stocktaking of fishery is usually in one-species form. But it is multi-species fishery in fact. The presentation contains the examples of calculations for different fishery in Okhotsk Sea and Bering Sea.

The models for ecosystem of Okhotsk Sea (poster)
Several models of Okhotsk Sea ecosystem have been implemented. These models are based on the energy balance scheme suggested by V. Shuntov and E. Dulepova (Complex Studies of Ecosystem of the Sea of Okhotsk, Moscow, VNIRO Publishing, 1997). This scheme consists of eleven trophic blocks. The models are presented as differential balance equations. These equations describe the mass transfer between trophic blocks.
The models include phytoplankton, bakterioplankton + protozoa + zoophages and fish blocks (the first one); plankton, fish and detritus (the second) and phytoplankton, bakterioplankton + protozoa + zoophages, nekton, nektobenthos, detritus and nutrients (the third one). Behavior of the models has been studied and compared to the existing description of the Okhotsk Sea ecosystem.
