LarvalBase is a comprehensive information system on fish larvae that are relevant in the field of fisheries research and finfish aquaculture, combining traditional sources such as primary and "grey" literature. In addition, unofficial data from various sources as Internet and e.g. from practicing aquaculturists, even in developing countries, are regarded to be valuable for the database.FishBase is available on CD-ROM, with detailed information on population dynamics, genetics, morphology, tropic ecology, physiology, ecotoxicology, reproduction, etc.[Reference: Froese, R. and D. Pauly. Editors. 2005.FishBase. World Wide Web electronic publication. www.fishbase.org, version (10/2005).]

Data Type: Birds; This dataset contains information extracted from the statewide Seabird Catalog managed and updated by USFWS. Seabird colony and species information was transferred electronically to an ARC/INFO coverage of the spill affected area. GIS database produced as a result of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill (EVOS) for Natural Resources Damage Assessment (NRDA). The intended purpose of this database is to provide a resource for use in the oil spill damage identification, oil spill response, habitat restoration activities.

Korea conducted commercial pelagic trawl operations for walleye Pollock in the Donut Hole area of the Bering Sea. Data recorded included water temperature, depth of fishing gear, towing time (hours), CPUE (tons/hour) and catch (tons). Biological samples of the catch included length frequency, sex ratio, and otolith samples for age determination. Data were recorded on log sheets. Some of the log sheets have been keypunched. Commercial fishing operations in the Bering Sea ceased in 1993.

The National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (NFRDI) conducted annual surveys in the Bering Sea on regular survey tracklines. Water temperature and salinity profile data were collected at 40 oceanographic research stations by a CTD system. At each CTD station chlorophyll and Zooplankton abundance were measured. Zooplankton were sampled with a bongo net using a 333 micron mesh codend and sorted to genus. The surveys, which were conducted mainly during May-July by the Korean R/V Pusan 851 between 1994-1997, covered the Donut Hole, the Bering Sea shelf and the Bogoslof area. There was no survey in 1998. The Korean R/V Tam Gu conducted the survey in 1999.
